I have no absolutely no idea who Gogo is, only guesses.

I think Gogo is a male, probably middle aged 30's. I would say he is probably an adventurer, that has pretty much retired until you find him. Probably wandering the world observing, rarely acting in any events. When found he probably realizes this is his chance to come out of the shadows, and once more go on an adventure. An important one at that, saving the world.

I mean, when you find her airship, it's really not in bad shape. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, but does he ever actually say she's dead? Did anyone ever find her body? There's a pretty good chance, and if you think about it, you couldn't find her body if she's wrapped up in a ZoneEater. If the game had voiceovers, perhaps we'd know, but since it doesn't...

Hehe yes, Daryl is probably the biggest roumer right now... odd that she has a tomb, but its not like we don't make tombs for the dead though the body is actually not buried at that location... im sure

Im thinkin about naming my GoGo Daryl just cuz of it

There is also the fanatics that say GoGo is actually General Leo... just cuz they want him back, but he was too badass to go into being GoGo. There has also been talk GoGo is Gilgamesh, but that would be weird since Gilgy already has an appearance in the game

This is, of course, inaccurate considering Quotes 1, 4 and 5 as well as the Exp. Egg arguments are all based on Final Fantasy VI relations, and the Gogo character first appeared in Final Fantasy V (you "fight" him to obtain the Mime job class). But in all fairness the parallels between Gogo and Adlai Stevenson are entirely *too* coincidental

Anywho, I've seen the Adlai reference before, and that cracked me up then just like it did now. It never gets old, does it?

I'm gonna say that Gogo is Shadow if you forget to wait for him in the first half of the game. Yeah. And so then, he's magically gotta become someone else in the second half if you saved Shadow, right? Okay, well, it's Duncan, but he's tricking you. See, when you're approaching his house in the WoR, he runs away from your party (no one notices, of course) and changes in a back room. Yep, that's how it goes. And then he just changes again when you decide to leave. However, if he misses the airship, then he uhh... umm... curls up in a ball next to his house and pretends to be sleeping and when you come back, you can say that Duncan left for some items in town even though he's really right in front of you and you don't know it. Yeah.

Try saying that in one breath.

Go to Google, type in: gogo adlai stevenson, hit the "I'm feeling lucky!" button. That should answer any questions you might have over the Gogo/Adlai Stevenson thing.

The sad thing is, the whole Gogo/Adlai Stevenson thing really works. Holy shit. I wish I had that much time on my hands.

Let's put it this way: Gogo is some weird mime. Who was eaten by a big worm. That's it. He has absolutely no relation whatsoever to anybody. He's just some weird mime guy that you find. End of story.

But that's no fun. I'm thinking that Square put him there and purposely left the different ideas as to who he/she/it is (Banon, Daryl, Siegfried, etc.) up to the gamer. It's just for fun.

Just go to the link in my signature. At least it gives a logical assessment of this sorry excuse for conspiracy theory (as well as info on who started it, etc). That doesn't mean it's right. Just probably right.

Though I find that website interesting, and it may have a valid point, I don't think it really proves anything... call it a conspiracy theory, but proving it right or wrong changes nothing, because the conspiracy itself is really nothing except a humerous joke in the first place.

that and I find it rather... interesting that somebody would go through all that effort to prove a speculation/humorous theory wrong... but thats just me... some people have different priorities

The way I see it... the Gogo=Adlai is just like the girls are evil formula... its humerous, it has some established fact, but does not nessecarily mean girls are evil does it? You don't see websites trying to prove the girls are evil formula wrong do you?

Well, like I said, I wish I had that much time on my hands. It'd make my life easier.
