I obviously haven't played FFTA, but I doubt it will match FFT. FFT was the best Strategy RPG ever made, in my opinion, and its going to be very hard to top, especially with a GBA game.

Tactics is the only one of my games that I would never sell. Story lines get old after a while, but Tactics, still seems rich. But those damn red chocobos always piss me off.
Im off subject. FFT Is better. The only thing FFTA has over it is that you can play it in a car on the way to a train that will wake you to an airport XD |

I have the japanese rom, and of course I can't read japanese... something about those weird symbols I don't understand. Still the game looks cool, but it needs further judgement. There for I am ruling FFT the better of the two!

Out of the 2, i favor FFT:A.. pretty much because i havent layed a finger on FFT, therefore have no opinion about it.. heh, i like FFT:A in the fact that it has 300 Missions, 5 different races to choose from, and around 27 classes all up, its a challenge because it re-introduced the "Equipment-teaches-you-abilities" thing, so it add's a bit of challenge to the battles, heh.. plus, the story isnt half bad either.. pity there isnt any swearing and stuff.

Now that I have played FFT and FFTA I have to say that each game has it’s strong points and weak points, but I’d say that FFT has less weak points just because it had much more space to be developed. It had more secret characters (like Cloud) Just because it had cloud would be the reason I’d say FFT is better, but if they put FFTA on playstation it would probably whoop up on FFT. But I can’t go either way, I like um both.
Oh and BTW: FFTA has 42 job classes spread out between 5 races. (not to mention all the job classes of NPC’s) |

I've completed neither game, but I've played enough to make up my mind that I think FFT is better.
I guess if you want good storyline, go for FFT, but if you arent fussed about storyline, and want something more mission based, FFT:A is better.
