Space
Space....and its many mysteries have boggled many minds for centuries. The world has sent satellites and shuttles to observe and try and crack these mysteries. Every day humans are learning new information...so...how big is space, infinite or limited, and if it is limited what is at the end, and how did it come to be??

Well, I'm a Christian so I think that God created the Universe to be unlimited. Take a look at Voyager 2 (You probably don't know what the hell that is), it is gonna pass Pluto in 2012 and will keep on going. If it hits some invisible thing in space that prevents it from going any further, that will be kinda messed up.
Ok... I did not explain it very well... uh...yeah... |

yes i am also a christian...a catholic in fact...and i believe in god...but there is always room for questioning....that is y the word faith comes into play.............................but there are thories, like the big bang theory

hmmmm ok then, ill water them down for everyone else.....ok space. No one knows how far it goes.....now lets say in the unlikely occurence that you reach the end of space....imagine it like one big room...the end of space being the wall....now that cannot really be the end because there has to be something at the other side of that wall.....and when that someting ends, theres gonna be something at the other side of that one.
some people believe that if you travel far enough out into space that you will end up back where you started....pure ludacris. |

Yeh, that ending up where you started thing is just some scientist's theory, and some people believe it. Maybe it is true, but theres no proof, and so no reason to believe it.
I believe space is infinate. Space is nothingness, and even if there is some thing surrounding space, there much be nothingness or something infinate surrounding that.

i think there is an end to space, even with my catholic beliefs....i believe at the end of this universe there is a parallel universe bordering it...if anyone has the same thoughts post back....i love discussing the unpredictible

I beleive the universe goes on Indefinately and the end is merely the end of the reach of the matter from the big bang created by an ancient penomina... but however is this really the end? because there is endless nothing at the end of what we know as the universe and this seemingly endless nothing may hide way beyond our sight and reach other universes which undegone similar and same phenomina's which brought matter into existance way out there... but however Ive never really asked myself the question of does it end but the question of how far out do the phenomina's take place and how often does this phenomina take place out there and how long has it been going on to understand the vastness of it all myself but its way beyond anything comprehendable I believe and we have yet to reach out to tap the resources of otherverses that exist way out beyond our own we still have yet to tap those outside of the planet even but it is necessary with conastant expansion however can the phenomina of all this creation be created again by mere people or what other forces created this anomaly, maybe potential forces contained energy created other energy's which became matter, but in that case this anomaly would not be unique then because the same potential force would exist everywhere else

It's not just a universe which stands next to another one. A parallel universe has a bunch of things actually correspond to one another. All those sci-fi movies where there's more than one form of a guy as he travels through universes are referring to the parallel universe concept.

Matter canneither be created nor destroyed. The same with energy.
Thus, from this principle, is where I go. While space, as in emptiness, might be infinite, I believe there's a limited area over which space will be spread. Even if the universe continues to expand outwards, forever and ever, we will, eventually, reach the totality of all the mass that was in the beginning will be reached. From there, the universe may expand, and all that expansion will be is nothingness. A deadzone, so to say, wherein you can look out with the strongest telescope that could ever be created and see just blackness. Space maybe infinite; matter and energy are not. |
