TOA Round 2: Cloaked Gambler VS Landriston Evriady'svarion

Alright, the first round is done, half of the contestants are gone, only 32 remain, who will win it all? Only time will tell... remember to try and somehow include the fact that the whole TOA is near or in a huge staduim (or surrounding areas for you environmental fanatics) LET the fighting begin!
Ok a reposting of the rules

1. NO SIGNITURES!

2. No God Mods... you know the basics, "possesing characters", godlike abilities, cheapo moves, power dodging or Didging killing opponents stuff like that.

NOTE: The small time taking over, for like adding to battle posts are legal, as long as you dont hurt them or whatnot

3. 2 ways to win- Killing your opponent hte legal, way, getting them to accept the win, when you have bested them, or by a judges decision. ACCEPT it... if you have a problem with there decision, then PM me....

4. Judges will post who won, and a short paragraph on why they believe that person won

5. Round 1 starts on Sunday September 8th... and will run till saturday the 14th

Round 2 starts that following sunday

So each tournament round lasts a week, you will have that much time to defeat your opponent. Topics will be closed on Saturday night, or sunday morning... if possible, and the next round will start. This tournament will be done in 6 weeks.

Shadows race around on the stadium floor, the suddenly stop at the far end of the arena and shoot upwards forming a circle of darkness which not even the best of eyes can pierce. The shadow wall collapses to form an Elven Figure. Seconds pass and the figure takes color, the shadows all but a memory. Wielding a sword, a staff hung on his back he looks around for his opponant. The crowd cheers loud and Land looks around still.

"Not here....but he soon will be..." He said in a whisper.

"Hmm... another puppet of his ambition"

From the darkness of the gate, which confined with the pale light of a winter sun, his eyes roamed the arena...

"I can read fear in his face... the fear of a fierce warrior who hasn't a single clue of who he'll face this time.."

A soft breeze blowed through the stadium, creating small puffs of dust which melted with the appassionate silence of the crowd.

"Oh... I can feel his heart beat... Well... I'll dive in his scared blood like lava through snow..."

The man hidden in the darkness made some steps towards his opponent, revealing his figure to the light. Without moving his lips, he shouted in a loud voice..

"Welcome to your nightmare.
I am the light. Outside me is darkness.
I am the living proof that death is the best woman a tired soul would marry.
I am the priest who will set your weddings... "

In that very moment, only another Kindred could see the smirk on his face and his eyes full of grief.

But the cloak was hiding it all.

"I don't like to tell my name, I have a servant who will do this task in my place..."

Quick like a lightning from a black cloud, he extracted the silver Shotgun, and fired a shiny white bullet towards the Elf...

Carved on its side, while going at light speed, the name Reztes could only be read by an angel fast enough to fly at its side.

A gasped came from Land's mouth as the bullet sped towards him, this was the first time he had been confronted by a gun. As the bullet sped near him he quickly chanted a small spell that may protect him from lethal harm as he dove out of the way, the bullet hit his shoulder, a splatter of blood spewed forth as Land landed on his good shoulder. Land looked at the bloody mess and stood up, ignoring the pain for the moment. Making a quick motion with his hand and speaking a word that had finished his spell he looked at his opponant. The ground beneath the mysterious man wielding the gun began to shake violently. Pieces of the Arena floor began to shot into the air, flying towards its target. After a few moments bigger pieces came up flying at the man that had inflicted a terrible wound to Land, fireballs also began to shoot up at him hitting the ground around him and bursting into a wall of hot flames. Behind it, Land feel to his knees and started to tend to his wound, casting various curing spells that may help.

As the blood splashed from the elf's shoulder, the Kindred's eyes opened up in greed..

"Blood!... I must get there... "

Immediatly the ground started to shake, and a fissure opened his mouth behind him, spitting out fire and stones, like a wounded hydra.
Reztes jumped towards, and started running towards the elf..

"If I only could get there... Holy Shield.."

A kite shield made of light appeared on his back, blocking the fire darts that were homing on him, while he jumped careless into the firewalls the elf set around him...

"I'll give you back the Pain I'm suffering now... you'll see..."

Retzes found himself face to face to his opponent, but he was quite bruised, and another fireball was homing at him, making the elf's laughter glowing fiery. The kindred spotted the wound, and opened his mouth...

"Now you'll see... the Opening of a Poisonous Hell!!!"

A big, concentrated green cloud of Poison was shot directly towards the elf's shoulder, while the blood on the ground started to boil in fear...

"And now.."

Reztes turned on his heels and faced the fireball with his hands..

"Hydroblast!!!!"

A jet of water came out of him, turning the fireball into a smoking cloud. Then the kindred extracted the Ulysses, and shot a blue bullet in the sky...

"Waterworks!"

The bullet exploded in the air, and a thick magical rain came down to extinguish the lava hell the arena was turned into. Then the Kindred turned his face to the elf, and pointed the Ulysses in his direction... The Kindred's weapon was glowing a pale red...

In the middle of all his castings he looked at his opponant, such strength! Land looked down at the ground again, ignoring his wound once more as he saw the Cloud creeping towards him. It was time to use the fearsome spell....he had never used it, the risks were to great...but he must to keep himself alive. Quickly moving his hands around in various patterns tracing quick runes i the air and mumbling strange words...Elven words. A white light covered the area around Land, and quickly shot up to block the poison cloud. As the two forces met a bright light flashed, followed by an explosion, Land flew back a few feet and landed on the ground, his first wound recovered but more then a few bruises covering his arms and legs. He looked at his opponant as he stood, looking at his opponant and sighing. Quickly tracing more runes and mumbling more words, a white light shined infront of the Elf's body and then disappeared...Land stood straight...looking at his opponant

"You keep healing yourself... but you won't be able to do it forever"

A second of silence...Then Reztes quickly raised his weapon and shot a strange cross shaped bullet, which directly zipped near to the elf's ear and planted itself against the arena wall, with a deaf sound. It was a little silver cross, which peacefully shined white and gold. But if one looked deeply into that figure, could feel a frightening sense of gloom.

Then he shouted:

"Everytime me or you cast a cure spell, the Torture Cross will absorb that spell, and punish the caster with a black deadly power. We'll find pain a more comfortable watcher to our clash."

Retzes deeply studies the elf's face. He could see his fiery eyes shining fiercely.

"I shall extinguish those flames..", he thought.

Then he rapidly lowered his aim, and shooted a light blue bullet, which leaved a liquid trail... Suddenly the bullet disappeared, and like a splash of water, it splitted itself in a dozen blue energy balls, proceeding at foolish speed towards the elf...

As the energy balls shot near Land a smirk crossed his face. He stood there not making any move..the balls got closer and closer to him, yet no move was made. They got within foot of Land and then were deflected back at Retzes at the same speed, the smirk of the elf was followed by a short, quiet laugh. Another mumble and another few gestures later, a large glow began to form around Land. The ground below him began to shake, a red flash filled the arena, followed by a green one and lastly a blue glow, they all quickly disappeared. A few more gestures and the staff in his hand disappeared, and was replaced by his other weapon, a sword. Land looked over the sword and placed two fingers on the blade, it begins to glow black. With a smile he took up a defensive position, the black glow forming into a dart-like object and shot up into the air and landed on the ground infront of him, making a small little expolsion , nothing to harm either combatant, and disappeared.

As the waterdrops were deflected back at Reztes, he side jumped quickly, and let the bullets explode against the wall behind him. Then, he stared at the elf, studing his odd gestures...

"I need a melée weapon... something he cannot deflect easily..."

The Kindred put the Ulysses on his back, and extracted a sword from his cloak... as the blade came out from the dark mantle, it was like a silver river rushed out from a black forest. It was a legendary relic, kept at the Pandemonium Outpost by the Heaven's Guardians. His history said it was stolen by Suprienne, a fallen angel, and locked in his palace on earth, within the corruption only a tainted angel could generate. From this episode, the weapon, previously named Angelic Sickle, was called "Tainted Angel". While its very heart, imbued with Water magic remained safe, the outer limits of its blade started to absorb the evil within in shape of a deadly poison magic. When Suprienne died, the Ventrue clan heired the relic, but nothing was known from that moment, since the sword disappeared during the Crusades. It was said a young crusade held it in his last moment, but these were only legends melted with the whirling desert sands...
Reztes grabbed it with both hands, and ran at full speed towards his enemy, while the blade leaved a blue and green trail, like a flag of pure death... Some steps before meeting the elf, the Kindred jumped high, and dived downward in a azure shining aura..

He really just has more meat in his posts... more intrest, more story... Land, you have a good ability, you just need to beef up your posts more... make them a bit longer...
