TOA ROUND 2: Psychosyd VS Yuna

Alright, the first round is done, half of the contestants are gone, only 32 remain, who will win it all? Only time will tell... remember to try and somehow include the fact that the whole TOA is near or in a huge staduim (or surrounding areas for you environmental fanatics) LET the fighting begin!
Ok a reposting of the rules

1. NO SIGNITURES!

2. No God Mods... you know the basics, "possesing characters", godlike abilities, cheapo moves, power dodging or Didging killing opponents stuff like that.

NOTE: The small time taking over, for like adding to battle posts are legal, as long as you dont hurt them or whatnot

3. 2 ways to win- Killing your opponent hte legal, way, getting them to accept the win, when you have bested them, or by a judges decision. ACCEPT it... if you have a problem with there decision, then PM me....

4. Judges will post who won, and a short paragraph on why they believe that person won

5. Round 1 starts on Sunday September 8th... and will run till saturday the 14th

Round 2 starts that following sunday

So each tournament round lasts a week, you will have that much time to defeat your opponent. Topics will be closed on Saturday night, or sunday morning... if possible, and the next round will start. This tournament will be done in 6 weeks.

Sylius walked down the hall slowly, his minds abuzz with all the events that had happened... it was evening now, and he was already headed to his next match. HIs last opponent had failed to show, a dissapointment nontheless... but he knew this one would be different...

She would be there... his own enemy, his challenger... none other than his old apprentice... and former employer, he had been employed as her bodyguard. It had been a few years since there paths had diverged... it would be interesting to see what had happened to her in that time, how she had changed. Exiting the main doors, Sylius stepped into the night. The silence was calming, only the sounds of the birds and insects could be heard, to his pleasure, he was early, as was usually the case, and all the better in getting away from the daily bustle and the large crowds. Now he could focus. Walking through the long grass, wet with dew, he reached his destination. He was in the woods now, which grew behind the Stadium, an outdoor field, for more variety than a sand covered arena. Stopping, and leaning against a nearbye tree, Sylius closed his eyes and breathed in the night air. The smell of pine and grass filled his lungs... and invigorated him. This was where he was most at home. Running a hand through his hair, he smiled for a momment. He could feel his elven blood longing for the freedom on the wild once more... but at the same time, his human side told him to stay. Closing his eyes, letting his blood fight, he had his own inner argument...

Maybe someday you will learn to grasp onto the stronger nature of your soul The voice inside his head remarked.

"What?"

Think back... remember the day... the day your pain started, the day you were to weak to help anyone. That is when you grasped onto me, the power... that is when you were strong, you survived, with my help... or that other time... soon, soon you will taste of it again, it will be your life, you will achieve glory...

"What? What other time... what are you talking about?" Sylius demanded... but as it usually happened, the voice was no longer present. Letting out a shudder, Sylius reached over his shoulder, and laid his hand on the hilt of his sword, the riddle his friend gave had to wait, now was time for fight.

Lethalia felt he call over her kind. Her first battle had finished, time for the next. However, this was something she did not intend. "So soon..." She thought, "too soon..."

The calling lead her to the forest. She could smell his aura, the same as it was back then... so many years ago. He had the best of both worlds. He was half of her kind, yet had enough human in him to get by and not perish, like most of her kinda had and were. A bitter sorrow seemed to fill the air and grew thicker as she approached the babblt firld of old, where he was waiting. Still masked by shadow, she saw him, the same as he had been.

"Such cruelty has brought us to fight the other," She thought to herself. She signed and looked up at the sky, unchanged since the end of time. It has seen a million ages of this world, as seen many races come and go, and now it would see her's. The thought only made the sorrow of the air all the more intense.

"You still fight yourself... I wonder why you seek more war when you have neigh to stop the one inside yourself." Lethalia stepped into the ring, her face hidden by her gray-green hood, body inclosed in a cloak. A mist seemed to cover the battle grounds as the pause between the two drew on and on. "How can you fight to be victorious here, when you have known no victory in yourself?"

Sylius looked at Lethalia, his face unreadable... totally calm and devoid of emotion, his voice cool and calm in his reply.

"Only you know of my inner turmoil, but it is my own, besides, it has not destroyed me yet."

Though his words were smooth, his thoughts raced... she was right of course... it was a struggle... 2 worlds, 2 lives... colliding. She had been one of the few to understand and see through his barriers to read the turmoil. Indeed it was a daily struggle... his soul torn in 2... just like his blood... divided. All his life, he had been mocked, scorned, never totally accepted by either world. He found solace in the Tower only because of his potentail, and the fact that they will accept any who heed the training. Even then he fought to be accepted, his human blood giving him a fiery edge, and quick to anger. All knew of the rage in his blood, which drove him through life, unrelenting hatred for the murderers of his family and friends. An orphaned half elf is not one who is easily accepted in any world.

Sylius brought his thoughts to the present, pushing everything behind him, into the back of his mind. The past was just that, it could not be changed... he had to focus.

Slowly, Sylius grasped the straps of his scabbard, and removed it, taking it in hand, he draws his blade. Reaching roughly 4 feet in length, the Longsword was a treasure to Sylius, given to him upon his graduation from the Tower. This blade was the signal of his becoming a Swordmaster, and the mark of his adulthood, it was everything to him. The blade gleamed in the night sky, and the runes inscribed on the blade itslef seemed to glow with an eerie silver light.

"Alright my former apprentice, lets see if the years have dulled the abilities I tought you."

Though older than him, Sylius had been the veteran to war, had been the one to train her. He only looked older due to the fact that he aged faster. It had been an odd pairing then, her wisdom and knowledge far superior. He was meerly a body guard, nothing more. There seperation had been due to paths diverging, goals changed, things different. Now they were together... this time pitted as opponents, what events had led them to meet like this, not many knew. Sylius couldent help but wonder as to what had happened to her... now he would be able to find out. Raising his blade over his shoulder, Sylius breaks into a full scale run at Lethalia, a battle cry under his breath

Psychosyd clearly had more detail and imagery, and the words flowed better. Not to mention that he had two posts where Yuna had one.
