Simpsons vs Futurama - Page 3

I'm more into the Simpsons, the claims that Futurama is far greater are mostly absurd.

Yes, Futurama is better than current Simpsons, yet not even close to the ankle of perfection that the Simpsons achieved during their fifth season.

Also, Futurama had what? 2 seasons or something like that, and I can only remember a handful of whole episodes that were histerical hilarious, the series is filled of great funny moments, but they episodes tend to be not as solid as shows like Family Guy, The Simpsons, My Name Is Earl and The Office(though the last two are not animated, they are the funnier TV shows as of now).

Now the Simpsons had been around for over 15 years, and not only they had have great and subtle moments, but they also have streaks of complete perfect seasons, mixing intelligent humor with senseless fun(seasons 4, 5 and 6 come to my mind), and even in their most dull seasons they crack at least 5 episodes that will kill you with laugh.(noticed that i can talk about seasons here, you can't make such statements about futurama).

Futurama is good, but far from being able to stand next to the simpsons(specially for their ability to make fun of themselves).

And as they say in Ruthless: "bad simpsons is still better than almost everything else in television"

I like both and i think they are pretty equaly funny.
Simpsons:The simpsoms are a hilarious show that has been going on like....forever.I dont even know how they could show it that long isn't it like the oldest animated show to be shown?Anyway the simpsons are just like futruama there funny and that keeps them on T.V.
Futurama:Futurama is just one thing that most ppl like in a fuuny tv show its a stupid kind of funny.Pretty much the simpsoms in the future.lol

I personally like the Simpsons better. It's original and I think that it was a bit better than futurama. But I do like futurama too.

Futurama has a good plot and is very funny with good shots , I like the characters in it too they are great but i also like the simpsons with there really funny thing
but i prefer futurama most

does anyone know if they are making any more futurama shows

Four seasons (1999-2003); New episodes on Comedy Central starting in 2008.

I have never been a huge fan of The Simpsons, just didn't do anything for me. I watched a lot of the episodes, both older and newer, and laughed at my fair share of them; but I still don't really care much for the series. Overall, I would say that The Simpsons is superior, and in terms of an animated television show, will probably never be beaten in terms of absolute greatness and longevity. However, personally, I enjoyed Futurama a hell of a lot more, laughed at it a hell of a lot more, and cared about it a hell of a lot more.

Futurama wins for me.

I gotta go with the majority on this one. Futurama may be a good show, but The Simpsons is the best. Well, so is South Park....but that sounds like a new thread...

I had watched so much Simpson I had gone completely tired of it. I still watched it out of boredom, but I never laughed. It wasn't funny anymore. And so suddenly Futurama shows up - and well. Since then I've seen tons of episodes of Futurama and I never grow tired of it. The characters look great, the plot is great and the humour is better then the one in the Simpsons, which I find kinda dull now. Its allways Homer does something, or Marge does something un-Margy, or Bart has a problem, or Lisa gets judged unfair. And mark my words - ALLWAYS.

Futurama is a whole lot better. Fry is much funnier then for example Homer. The future setting is also better after the dull Springfeild. I have nostalgic feelings for Simpson, thats all. Futurama IS better.

...and I might like it better because I accidently downloaded a Simpson comic book which involved Lisa and Marge..urm...you don't wanna know...<.<

I use to like Simpsons but the Simpsons quality has declined over the years while futurama finished on a good level. But I still like simpsons.

always the simpsons, that program owns! the characters are legends! but then again futurama is also ubberly cool!

I cant decide, if i was forced to pick id say the simpsons!

The Simpsons. I like Bart, Homer, Marge, Lisa, and the whole cast. I grew up on watching this show and its one of my favorite shows. I really don't care for Futurama though. Its alright, but not something that I would watch. No offense Futurama fans.

I may be going against the poll here. I am okay with that though. I just do not find the simpsons that good anymore. thjey have so many reruns , and over donr charater profiling that it isn't a surprise anymore. I just keep seeing a lot of the same things. Of course it has been on for a long time. It was about time that the show got a little old to me. Just isn't new or fresh enough for me to laugh that much anymore. Nothing they say or do really surprizes me. I like futurama more. Even though there are not as many good jokes on there either, I don't know the characters as well. An that makes it more interesting. that an it is kinda cute how they percieve the future. I am not into space an I don't really like to predict happpenings, but it is kinda nice to seem them poking fun at it. My favorite episode was the one about how Star Trek became a church/cult, and you got to see all the characters from the show. I love star Trek. I thought it was funny how they made fun of how some people get way into that stuff, and they took it to another level to keep up with future tense. I love it, and the blob dork was funny as hell.

I like the Simpsons better. I watched it many times in the past. And i think it is a great show, and i find it funny. Futurama kind of bores me. There is something about that show that I dont like.
