Word up, Cats. (Yes, those are my introductary words.)

Anyways, I've just recently watched the first disc of Samurai Champloo. WOW! It's the new Cowboy Bebop for me folks; I've only seen the first 4 episodes and I think I'm in love.

Does anyone know if the second disc has been released in North America yet..? And if not.. when will it be? I'll probably buy the box set if it's already available.

What do you guys think of it? I love the animation, the music, the fighting scenes, the characters! It's a masterpiece in the making. Ciao.

The second disc is slated for release the 29th of this month.

As far as the series itself goes, I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to. Because Shinichiro Watanabe directed it, you just know it has to be good. The animation looks great from the pictures/previews I've seen and the story seems interesting enough. The only thing I can picture myself not liking is the music, but that's because I just plain out don't like Rap/R&B. Who knows, though, I tend to like stuff more as long as I know it's coming from Japan, so maybe I'll find it acceptable.

Pardon my ignorance but did "Shinichiro Watanabe" have anything to do with Cowboy Bebop, I heard there were a lot of ties between the series...

Yeah, I was a bit skeptic at first about this whole "hip hop" idea, but It's amazing! I love the music and I'd buy the soundtrack if there was one... It plays so well with what's goin' on in the show... kinda like Cowboy Bebop, ya know?

Oh man.. I can't wait till the 29th.. that's far too long, if there was only some way I could travel through time... *strokes chin*

Yes. Shinichiro Watanabe is both the director of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, which explains the similarities. Also, a soundtrack is available. I don't know if it's available at all stores or not, but the Best Buy near me has the CD packaged with the first DVD for $25. That probably won't do you much good, though, seeing as you have the first DVD already, but at least you know it exists now.

Actually, that does me loads of good, I only rented the first DVD actually.. I'm too cheap to buy them. Besides, I'd only buy box sets. It's awesome that I know there is one now though.. wonder if I can get my hands on it.

Silly question, but is there a sound track for Cowboy Bebop too? I'm assuming there is...

Actually, there are numerous Cowboy Bebop OSTs. They came out with the following:

-3 OSTs
-A 2-CD Movie OST
-3 Mini-CDs (not in size, but in quantity--about 7 tracks each)
-1 Remix CD of songs from other CB OSTs
-1 4-CD boxed set
-1 DVD of a life performance of The Seatbelts performing Bebop songs

So, yeah...there's a lot to pick from in the field of Cowboy Bebop movie. Oh, and of note, there's also a second Samurai Champloo OST. It hasn't been released in the US, but I just figured I'd put that out there.

Oh man, I finally got the second disc of Samurai Champloo. I was disappointed. There really... aren't any big super cool fights in it

All filler no Killer. *Thumbs Down*

Oh well.. I still love the series and the characters, and the humor is still there... Now I'll have to wait for the 3rd disc to be released

Any idea when that'll be?

Obviously, but the fights ARE the best part. I don't exactly know what I put emphasis on ARE... maybe I'm a pirate.

You have to admit that the fights on the first disc ARE amazing, right? They're so well...coriographed... I'm impressed with them, that and the amazing backgrounds they manage to produce. The story doesn't really even develope on the 2nd disc tho... it's pretty much just filler. Tru dat.

i just watched the 18th and 19th episode of thi and it is so hhilarious i was laghing so hard i almost died. the guy who's obseesed about people learning how to read and write and shoves beer down a guys throat at the beginning

DVD 3 is set to come out May 31st. Also, the fourth DVD is scheduled for a July 26th release. ^_^

Oh, and on a side note, the series premiers this Saturday at 11:30 on CN! Yay!

Samurai Champloo the best on Earth. I love it man, that Mugen's my favorite, kinda got a little bit of me in him. Jean's cool too.

Samurai Champloo is an awesome anime, what's your favorite episode Mike Piaza? I love the ending song,but then again I guess the opening theme is cool too. I don't think I have the Mugen personality inside me, I'm kinda like Jin in a calm sense.

Samurai Champloo is truely an amasing anime it's one of my favorites. I have all the DVD's that have come out. My favorite character is the fat blops you see around town. Yeah right! mugen by far is my favorite character I also have a little bit of him in me too I tend to have that wild, rapid dog in me.
