Hey man.. I totally didn't see that one coming. Fuu never even mentions her father... well, I guess she does pretty often, but I never put the two together. That's a total spoiler man... I guess?
I dunno.. I've only seen upto episode 15.. but that episode rocked. Ever notice how this anime has a lot to do with Brothels? Needs more fighting in it too.... Oh well, it's still awesome. (Like me) |

I've known it was her father from the first time she asked them to go with her to find the Sunflower Samurai. Because she had flashbacks of him, and of how he did so and so to her and her mom. So... put one and one together, boom: sunflower samurai is her father.

Eh, I just don't tend to do much thinking about my anime. I just sit there happily and watch it. On occasion, you will hear a muttered, "WTF...?" or some chuckling, but other than that, it's just me and my compy, ya know? Besides, it kinda spoils it if you try to predict everything, doesn't it? I find it much more enjoyable to just let the story flow.

i still think the first episode was the best the story line got a little action slow after that but tis still great i like how they used spikes voice for mugin (im pretty sure) but jean is still kinda wierd im just wondering when the hell hes gonna...get together...with Fu hehe

Yeah, I'm upto episode 21 so it's coming down to the wire now.. the show seems to be all filler.... I wonder if they'll jack up some story line in the last couple of episodes... Until then... keep it real homies!!  |

Eh...yeah, I guess a lot of the story can be seen as filler. I watched it almost entirely for the sword-fighting scenes, not the storyline. The fighting style of Mugen is frikkin unbelievable...I totally wanna see if I can copy it someday. It'd definitely be awesome.

Yeah, I'm discovering there really isn't much of a story line, it is all filler. ALL filler. I mean, I've seen upto episode 23 and not too much has happened really... Btw, Episode 23, is now officially my favourite episode! Baseball fun! It's seriously one of the funniest things I've seen in a while, especially when the detective is trying to sneak onto the American ship. "Freeze!" "Wow?" "Who the hell are you?" "Who...who..who..who..who" "Who are you!" "Americhan....Americhan!" *Guards open fire" Ahhh!! Classic... Can anyone make any sense of episode 22? What's with the zombies... I'm so confused. |

You didn't like Samurai Champloo but you like that abomination they like to call Witch Hunter Robin? Or as my friend Shannon and I like to call it "Bitch Hunter Robin"
Anyways, I saw the first two episodes back before it came out in the US quite some time ago (December or so) and soon after got the entire series subtitled from a friend. I've seen a few eps here and there on CN but I've yet to sit down and watch the whole thing.

I actually just finished watching the entire thing and I must say.. the last 4 episodes are easily the best. Episode 23 is the funniest thing I've ever seen...
Episodes 25/26 have the deadliest fights ever... Oh yeah. Something to look forward to guys. I dunno, I really liked the anime, The characters were so awesome. Plus I could relate to Mugen really well.. Jin's pretty sweet too... Yeah. Another Masterpiece if you ask moi. |

Actually, SC really didn't do much for me. The best episode was the first one, the best fight was the first one, and after that, not much really happens during the series...Mugen has a cool personality, but that's all I really like about it. I don't know what exactly it was about the series, it just didn't float ma boat.

Not sure if you're still interested or not, SB, but the collector's box set for Samurai Champloo comes out July 5th in the states, not sure if it's the same for Canada. I've seen all of the episodes as well, but I still plan on going out and buying them in the box set.
I used to have volumes 1 & 2, but I traded them for Ah! My Goddess volume 3 and a volume of FMA (can't remember).

I recently saw the first 8 episodes of Samurai Champloo, and
I have to say I loved it! First off, the animation style is smooth, and the art looks really appealing to me. The story is very random though, but that's not necissarily bad! Mannnn... Mugen or SHin!! I can't decide  <3

I loved the 17 episodes I saw! Definitley one of my fave animes atm. I love Jin! He's so calm. Mugen is awesome too, especially the way he fights. It's so unorthodox
