Berserk
Gore Anime = Good Anime. I don't think there's a single episode where something doesn't gets stabbed or slashed into a leaky piece of meat by means of that kick ass uber long sword (I <3 the Dragon Slayer)! Unlike other gore animes, this one actually has a decent plot and character development. Guts = the ultimate swordsman. Not even Kenshin could stand up to him.

Neon Genesis Evangelion
The deepest and most depressing plot ever. VERY PHILOSOPHICAL. It's amazing how Anno Hidaeki and the Studio Gainax crew warped Judeo Christianity and turned it into something really whack. Fuggin' awesome biomechanical mechs, and those angels look demented too. Another reason to watch: plenty of gore. Unit 01 going apeshit in Episode 20 is a good example, as well as Unit 02 versus the MP EVAs in the End of Evangelion.

FLCL
Another classic by the minds of Studio Gainax. The music is fuggin' awesome. The Pillows is the best rock/post-grunge band I've ever heard. The characters designs (by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, who also did Evangelion's) are friggin' amazing... So colorful and vivid (Gainax's first digimation). It may not be gory, but it has some of the best humor since Monty Python. Any Lupin III or South Park fans? They make a small parody of both in episode 5!

Runner ups: Tenchi Muyo, GTO, Initial D, Chobits, Angel Sanctuary, Akira, Witch Hunter Robin, Spriggan, Ninja Scrolls, Record of Lodoss War, and Ghost in the Shell.

Evangelion
I've never had to watch a series twice to get everything before and that's a hell of an endearing quality for an anime. Plus I really like the End of Eva because I love how Anno basically said "You want it? You got it, but you're not gonna like it!". Plus it was just so evil how there are just frames you have to look at piece by piece to see the added gore (such as the Asuka rotting with maggots, Misato's legs and head flying in an explosion, etc.). The whole thing is just genius.

Bleach
One word. Cliffhangers. I've never been so drawn to what's gonna happen next in an anime before. I ****ing love that... I also ****ing hate that I have to wait a week at a time or more for the next fansub to come out but it's worth it .

Colorful
This feeds my inner pervert, while also tickling my funny bone. Love it, love it, love it.

My favorite anime is Kenshin. I just love the story and the time when it plays. It has a historical background and is not too childish but still humorous. A perfect mix.

eh, favourite anime, which seems to be terribley under rated these days, be Gensomaden Saiyuki. Its just an absolutely fantastic anime, with a compelling story (although it takes a while to really get going), and most of all: great characters. Besides, what other anime has 2 guys calling each other **** head and faggot?

Ehh, my vote's goin to Evangelion for the moment, though my other current fave has to be Initial D. I've yet to find an anime quite like either one. Eva made my head hurt when I stopped to think about it (harder to manage than I let people think ) and Initial D...well, it just plain kicks ass, and the music most of all. Gotta love the ID Music.

I am going with Dragonball Z ( Omg laugh it up weaklings) Because weather you all notice it or not DBZ, and Sailor Moon together brought both males and females into the anime world. I fell in love with DBZ from the very begnning and i have liked it ever since, ive made alternate story lines new charACTERS ECT. i LOVE dbz EVERY BIT OF IT.

yeah i sound like a pathetic loser who still watches cartoon network. But alas no. i perfer the unrated versions, like most animes they turned out better, most people would expect DBZ to be filled to the rim with swears because of the fighting, but no it's all about the blood lust @_@. Anyway, i am just going to end with that. ^_^ Think what you will but i am going with the firsts.

1.)Samurai X : Ummm most DEFINITELY the coolest anime to ever be created...tons of blood...coolest swordplay...words can't describe it's gosuness >.<

2.)DBZ : So in-depth, after a while of watching it, you feel such an attachment to the characters. Awesome fight scenes, emotional moments, and if you haven't seen some of the movies you should; Cooler's Revenge is the Fing shit. Oh yea, it gets pretty violent ^^

3.)Berserk : Probably the most violent anime out there; you really get to know the characters, as it's focused on that O.o
I'm into anything military, and guts is the ultimate medieval swordsman/soldier.

Trigun!
Reason~ Vash The Stampede and Nicholas D. Wolfwood

I can't exactly pick just one. I'll name a few:

Digimon: Yes, thats right kids, i said it. Digimon was great because it was the first anime show that i ever watched (along with both Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura, which also both rock). The plot was brilliant in seasons one and two, although into season three when they got all with the cards thing, i didint enjoy it as much. Altogether it was a great show because of all the things that they say that most 8 year olds could never understand, and because how the characters personalities remained similar from season one to season two.

InuYasha: This show is great because it always keeps me on the edge of my seat. I'm a sucker for romance, too, and they have tons of that. I love how the creator of this anime manages to have violence and romance and tons of other aspects in it. The personality of InuYasha himself is absolutely wonderful. Sesshomaru is InuYasha's sexy brother, with an AWESOME voice, that i love. And Miroku is a pimp. That is all.

Trigun: This anime has a way of making the viewer feel many emotions. I have been devastated by some of the events in the show, and i have also laughed myself to tears. Vash and Wolfwood are possibly the two coolest guys ever. Not to mention if Wolfwood were real, he'd be very attractive. :wink: But all in all, this anime is so good that i can watch it over and oer again and never get tired of it. Honestly.

My absolute favorite anime is Noir. It has been for the last 3 years...

Beautiful.. if I used just one word to describe it that's what it would be. The music is amazing. The animation is flawless... with hand painted backgrounds. The story, while not too far involved or confusing is still entertaining, interesting, and by no means shallow. The characters are very well expressed and developed... I just see (even though Mireiyu and Kirika are in such a business) representation of the different levels of human nature... the friendships, the struggle, the animosities...

Maybe I'm a bit too biased... but I don't care. It's the perfect anime to me... all that matters. And I didn't even spoil any of the story in my babbling. =)

Well, I have various favorites, but since this is 'Best Animé Ever' and not 'Best Animé's Ever'... I's have to say it would probably be...

Doonys

Because: It has a BRILLIANT storyline and the characters are timeless and you can really get involved in their plights. The sheer extent of this Animé is spectacular and the creatures in it are very well created. There are 1000's of these unique creatures (some people refer to them as the more life-like P*kémon, unfortunatly), but they are the same as looking out of your window and seeing a cat to the people of this world. It also has so many brilliantly written plot twists and leaves you hanging on and craving more!

My Favorite anime is by far Trigun. Trigun has some sort of a magic that catches the viewers attention from the minute you see the first episode to the Very last. I found Trigun to be very addictive, I couldnt stop wathcing it and I would never get tired of it. It has the coolest charachters, most dramatic story, and the Best music to go with all the cool shootout scenes.
I hope that Cartoon Network plays the anime again very soon.
