I will say this.
In KH2 Roxas seems more interested in Namine than Sora seems interested in Kairi. Just my observation. I think they dumbed down Sora's relationship with Kairi to try and keep a little bit of innocense in the game.
Of course certain fans will go to great lengths to take any and all innocense out ;P
