I HATED the Gummi Ships in the first game. It felt like all of a sudden I was playing one of those cellphone games, but in 3-D and full color.
I liked them in the second game though, they were much more enjoyable, and there was a nice variety of music, insted of different versions of the same song. Trying to get an S rank was tough, but they were still a lot cooler and gave you more control. They almost, almost fit into the game.
