And this is the problem with America today!!!!!

You can skate almost anywhere, thats the beauty of it. Any sidewalk, decent road or patch of asphalt is prime skating ground. You don't need a skatepark if you've never been on a board before, because it takes a lot of practice to do flatground tricks. Theres little to no chance of you getting on a board for the first time and tearing it up, unless you're the love child of Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen... and even then, you'd still need some practice. But seriously, go buy a board. You can get a shitty one for like 30 bucks at a sporting goods store. You'll tear it to shit soon enough, but its a good means of figuring out if you like it without blowing upwards to 100 bucks.
