I really like both shows, but watching old seasons of the Simpsons over again my friends' house and with my brother, I am reminded of my childhood, which is always a plus. Back in the day, the Simpsons was a brilliant show. Even though it has gone down hill in recent years, think about this; Futurama didn't get the chance to go downhill. It was made by the same creator, too.

I very much doubt that Matt Groening had much to do with the writing for the Simpsons in these last few years (or Conan O'brien, who was one of the writers for the Simpsons in its early years. Coincidentally, he was a writer for SNL, as well, when it was in some of its best years... hmm...) I really think that Matt Groening is a funny and wise man. You can definitely see it if you read his old "Life in Hell" cartoon strips. He's gotta be one of my heroes.
