Karma is something of Buddism that those who worship God do not believe in. I believe good works do not get you into Heaven, because if they did, we would all be rotting in Hell.
Just remember, like the cartoons, there are those who immediately fall from the edge of the cliff and die and there are those who can walk on air and fall when they look down.
They guy who fell when he looked down and made it halfway across the gap is just as dead as the guy who fell off the cliff immediately.
That's an analogy of good works.
