Click on "Quick Links" in the top-right of the TFF Forum menu, go to Private Messages, and hit "Send New Message" on the menu bar on the left of the screen.
Not that big of an issue; it's hard ot get a hang of TFF's new layout since the pbpBB upgrades recently.
