Only additional information I can give is that there seems there may be a new character in it known as 'G'...or 'Genesis'.
My info's very limited though. Up until recently I just thought Crisis Core was an alternate name for the anime 'Last Orders'. It's pretty clear it will cover some of the story that took place before FF7, thus its a prequel...but it's also going to deal with info revealed in Dirge of Cerberus. Like Vincents father, Professor Valentine.
