As the Unknown parried the attack of the massive warrior and circled around to the other side, Akira decided to use the Unknown's distraction as a chance to attack. The gigantic warrior had turned his back to Akira, making a cut into the tough flesh on the behemoth’s back possible. Akira leaped into the air and brought his sword down. Suddenly, the flat side of the creatures' axe neared Akira's upper body sending him hurdling towards the wall of the coliseum.
Coming down from a six foot fall, Akira coughed up a puddle of sticky blood. Before he could gather his senses, he was being mauled by one of the tigers in the arena. The massive saber like teeth pierced Akira's arm, forcing him to send out a scream of utter suffering. Blood started to trickle endlessly from his lower arm but was quickly soaked up by the sandy ground of the arena. Akira punched his gauntlet into the side of the tiger as hard as he could, almost creating a crater with his fist between the ribcage of the beast. He immediately sent off a flurry of poisonous needles into the creatures’ side.
The tiger jumped off of Akira and set its body in front of Akira in an effort to impede his way. Akira unsheathed his mighty katana with tranquil patience and held it in front of himself. As if meditating, Akira waited many seconds before giving a response. The tiger growled at Akira furiously and also showed signs of pain and suffering. The creatures' current weakened state was little to oppose the skills of the Samurai, something that was apparent to all that looked on.
The crowd held it's breath as they waited for Akira to make a move. Akira started a lightning fast gallop towards the tiger, running right past it. Akira's evasion of making contact with the tiger flabbergasted the crowd. However, the confusion of the crowd was almost as short lived as Akira's quick dash as they saw the head of tiger slide off of it's neck and spurt blood all over the arena.
Akira's bleeding showed no signs of relenting; possibly meaning he had received internal damage from the hurdle against the wall. His arm was also in bad shape although the tiger had not punctured any major arteries or veins. He pulled a black cloth from between his breast plate and upper body and wrapped it tightly around his wounded arm. He looked around for the massive warrior and the status of the Unknown’s fight. The dispute between the two commenced yet he had no intention of staying out of it.
Grabbing a throwing spear that lay on the dusty ground, Akira chucked it into the air and caught it again, instantly sending it whistling through the air towards the warrior’s left lower leg. The spear shot through clean and left behind a stream of gushing blood but strangely had no impression on the warrior. It seemed this behemoth would only fall to a repetitive and constant attack on the same body region.
Akira started towards the two fighters and put his fingers tightly around the grip of his sword's handle. About a man's length distance away, he leaped into the quarrel and unsheathed his sword in midair striking at the gigantic warrior's left heel. A shower of crimson filled the air and covered Akira's body with a layer of wet blood. The creature still showed little reaction but.....
