Days of glory have long passed. Ha. If you were to even mention the good ol’ days in a tavern you'd most likely be trampled and beat. Only 1 major city remains, and that city isn’t even worth passing into to wipe off the shit on your face and dirt off your ass. The streets filled with wandering children, raunchy and cheap tasted prostitutes, and the no future beggar.

Glorious Days of Old, how you have abandoned us as if we were molested orphans with bad attitudes. What did you even leave us with? A bittersweet aftertaste hanging in the back of my mouth only to remember the disgust every time I swallow?

All we have these day's are our possessions, and isn’t that pathetic? All I have is my pub/shop/inn. I split into 3 businesses to make up for the lack of customers in the others. I get by, but hardly with the skin on my back and underpants craning to get free from my crack. Business has been picking up, not that it matters. Even when it’s picked up its still low. Someday I'll have enough to move out of this bloody hell hole of distastefulness.

Still I'm sometimes left to wonder, is it worth it? Then I realize what I asked and reassure myself its not and go on with my chores. I’ve come too far in life to just give up and quit. There’s no where else on this continent to move to with my business anyway. Damn this life to its due fate. These men who are coming to 'close' up my shop haven’t been the first, but then again they won’t be the last. Does it ever stop?

The broken hinges on the door swung loose, the damage unfixable. Ceasing to move or struggle was the shopkeeper on the floor, spine broke, face still leaking blood, and knuckles bent and stepped on. His hopes, his glory dreams, gone.
