I hate the movie Home Alone, for me its not funny or even cool. The first time yeah I thought it was ok but now I dont like it at all. Besides that I hate the character and the actor its just kinds stupid that a boy can do all those things against a couple of adults. I mean that really doesnt happen in real life.
Yeah, I agree with you there, the premise of the films were totally ridiculous. Those idiotic script writers clearly didn't think about the realism involved. When I was 8 years old I'd much rather have watched Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer because it is based on true events.

As you say, SB, at a young age the films were a great laugh. The contraptions and plans that Culkin came up with would probably have taken a good few hours in itself but kids don't really consider things like that. Also, since the humour is focused on a fairly slapstick style involving the two bumbling criminals this is where Home Alone 1 & 2 really do well. Me and my friends loved them. Although at the end of each film I'd point out the cliché of someone, who Culkin thought was nasty, saving him from a lot of pain. (The old man with the shovel and that bird feeding woman respectively). On retrospect I'd have preferred it if he had gotten shot. That would make it something I'd laugh at now I'm older.

Home Alone 3 was disappointing. I went to the cinema to watch this and I remember thinking it didn't have the same "feel" to the original ones. Ah, well.
