Its a creative thread that I saw somewhere else so here is the basic idea:

You choose a scene in Final Fantasy X. You act as though 1 character was in a different location, never existed, or has died. Then you rewrite the scene accordingly. I will give you an example:

Describe the scene: Right after Sin attacks in the opening. He is on the ground when you meet Auron.

Remove a character: Auron, he exists but is not there at the current moment.

Rewrite the story:

Tidus is on the ground. He gets up and starts running. Tidus runs away from the stadium. He is stopped by the fayth who freezes time with it.

Fayth: It begins.

Tidus: What are you talking about?

Fayth: Don't cry.

Tidus: WAIT!!!

Time resumes. Zanarkand is falling apart behind Tidus. Tidus continues to run away from Sin. He gets to a point when he is unable to run any further. Sin closes in on him, gravitating water above its head in a sphere shape. Sin then sucks Zanarkand into itself and makes enter a dream-like state.

That example was one of the major plot points. Its not necessary to do a plot point, but the more the story or the plot affects that character, the more creative you'll have to be when rewriting it. You can do the less important scenes. You also can just do the script alterations if you like.

This is more like a creative writing exercise, one that gets the brain working. It takes patience, thinking, and most definitly at least one play through the game. I'll do one:

Describe scene: When Tidus first gets to Besaid and meets Wakka.

Remove a character: Wakka, he is currently at his house and not practicing

Write the scene:
Tidus washes up on the beach.

Jassu: Yo man what the hell is that?

Botta: I don't know.

Datto: Maybe we should throw a blitzball at it.

*Botta and Jassu nod*

Datto throws the blitzball at Tidus. Tidus wakes up.

Keepa: Yo man thats a guy.

Tidus: Huh?

Letty: Hey man. You ok?

Tidus: Blitzball!!!

Tidus kicks ball far away. It hits Wakka's hut and make a hole in the roof.

Letty: Hey...show us that shot again.

Meanwhile at Wakka's hut.

Wakka: I know that wasn't one of the Aurochs. I better check that they aren't being stupid.

Wakka runs to the beach.

Tidus shoots ball again. Wakka witnesses it.

Aurochs(see Wakka coming): Cap'n.

Wakka: Whooo!!! Do that again for me.

Tidus: I (a ball hits Wakka's house) ran out of (Another ball hits Wakkas house) blitzballs. Heh ;^_^.
