The Blood Sword can be obtained right before heading into the cyclone. Head
into Paul's house in Fynn BEFORE going to the Cyclone. Ask Paul about the
Cyclone and he will tell you about a secret passage in his bedroom, the
Blood Sword is there.
This is how you get it in Dawn of Souls... I believe it is the same for the IIj version on an emulator.
