Whew, it took me a lot of time to read the little treat you guys have. But seriously, you guys have some things messed up. Now, I want to warn you, as a fellow member of TFF who does not want to see this RP die off (and that actually wants to participate too). I just don't want the mods to go anal on you guys and close the thread off.
First of all, Angel, while I'm not an experienced roleplayer (at least, not forum roleplaying), you are doing a very good job at roleplaying Seifer. Red, your skills are good too. There's a little thing with dialogue, but since you began the thread, that can be allowed for control. Now, for Joe...
There are a few things that can get the mods really pissed off, and I saw you have just did them. First, double posting. One of your posts was repeated, and then added more. There's an edit button which can allow you to delete posts done, or add some stuff. That's a forum rule, remember. Second, and gravest of all, is god-modding. What I have seen in your character truly frightens me. You started off nice, but after the visions, everything just went wrong. Especially on the Squall part. OK, your idea of making Joe Squall's avatar (the physical representation of a higher being, in case the term is unfamiliar) is original by itself. But, there are various things I want to point you out.
First, the Lionheart Gunblade. As you may know, that's supposed to be the most powerful Gunblade in existence. As with all legendary weapons, they should be restricted to normal users unless there's a valid explanation for it, such as: the Lionheart is not as useful as it once was, you only have a shard and you want to find the rest, and things like that. But having the fully-powered weapon in your disposal at the beginning of the RP is not fair to the rest of the players. Second, your bossing. As I saw, you behave not like Joe Falcon, but as Squall's prophet, shaping the RP at your will. And, Squall is behaving as a god-like entity, omniscient (since he knew Rinoa wanted to attack Balamb) and omnipotent (the gunblade killing a T-Rexaur that fast? You gotta be kidding me...). Plus, you are leading the RP into a sacred quest to recover Squall's body so he can do what "he" wants. Then, what of Joe? Will he be replaced by Squall?
There are clever ways to play an avatar, and most of them do not deal with bossing around. For example, while he may not point you out to the actions to do, he may act as an advisor, or a supporter. Also, he may manifest on dire situations when there's no other choice, and then his acting must be really limited. Like, for example: you suddenly unleash Fated Circle as a last ditched effort, after a bloody battle that has left you in the brink of death. That's a good way to manifest. Be creative with it, and it may work. Also, you should have told that to Red here on the OOC, if he allowed you to do that.
Plus, the dialogues. You seem to be wanting to control all of the characters' actions, including the other players' characters. There are magnificent ways to link an action in which he may expect you to do an action, he knows what action you will do, and he gets a chance to react. That way, the action remains fluid while not intruding into godmodding. That sorta goes into Red as well, but he at least made the thread so he has more control into the action, and has a limited control of the dialogue, but not controlling action.
I see this RP has a lot of potential, and it would be a waste to see it closed. I don't know if you guys talked this beforehand: if that's the case, then excuse me for intruding. But if that's not the case, consider this counsel. Especially you Joe, you have a lot of talent and it would be a shame not to see it because of this.
EDIT: OK, seems everything's in order now. Talked to Joe and he's fine. Since I wanted to join, might as well make a char, right?
Name: Krem Deneith
Age: 25
Height: 6'
Weight: 195 lbs.
Weapon: Open-barrel shotgun Gunblade
Physical Appearance: Short bruin hair, hazel eyes, lightly bearded, with a serious facial expression. While not of the athletic type, he has a stout physique, with lightly buffed arms and legs. Wears a set of goggles on his head, a ripped shirt displaying a fine body armor made of adamantine, yet awfully worn, pants held by stretchers, working gloves and boots. Krem always hold something in his mouth, be it bubblegum, a toothpick, a blade of grass, or an unlit cigarette. Also wears a ragged brown cloak, which he uses to go unnoticed.
Bio: formerly an Esthar engineer, he ran away after Sorceress Rinoa struck the city, turning the soldiers into her own personal army. He was within the people who exiled with Laguna, yet he lost contact after a brief skirmish with the Rinoan army. Full of anger for his loss of work and peace by the forces of the Sorceress, and unattracted by the SeeD and Janus Army, he has wandered the land, opting for not involving in the conflict. While studying as a weapons engineer, he trained in combat and built his body to serve his country better. His combat training helped him survive against the monsters, yet he was helpless against the nature, forced into learning the basics of survival in the wild. His weapon of choice, a thick-bladed Gunblade with an outfitted, fully functional shotgun, was created by him after observing the plans for similar weapons: Gunblades with the ability to serve as long-range weapons while not affecting their close range capability. He has named it "Silver Cross", due to the cross-shaped hilt and the hanging silver cross tied to the pommel. He wanders all towns, always in movement, hoping to find President Laguna and help him regain his former position.
