Well, it's not a matter of not being able to play it on PS2, which you can and which deathgrave never said you couldn't. It is more a question of Final Fantasy IX not getting the same amount of media attention as VII and VIII because of the shiney new Playstation 2. The PS2 naturally also lead to very few new fans picking this game up because they'd much rather spend their money on a new flashy Playstation 2 game.

So I'd say that deathgrave is right to some extent atleast. Compared to the attention that game deserved, it is extremely underrated.

Saying that FF X-2 is fun and lighthearted is only a half truth. Maybe for the first 2 chapters where you are just travelling around Spira, trying to beat Leblanc and her goons, but in the latter chapters it definately has the depth and seriousness to challenge other games in the series (while still retaining a fun edge with a couple of somewhat lighthearted missions and a concert)
