Resident Evil 4 for PS2

Only a few more days, RE fans! Resident Evil 4 will be available for the PS2 on October 25th. There are upsides and downsides to this.

Let's start with the negative.

Cons

- Downgraded graphics

Now, from what I understand, it's not too bad. So don't expect blocky crap from the PS2 version. I've seen it mostly described as kind of "muddy".

Pros

- New costumes for Leon and Ashley

- A new game mode called "Separate Ways" featuring Ada and four new missions. There are also new CG scenes.

- True anamorphic widescreen display

- New weapons such as the P.R.L. 412 (Plagas Removal Laser 412)

- Price will be set at $40 for the game

It's good to see that they brought Resident Evil 4 back home to Playstation. Though this does anger me a bit considering I bought the limited edition (Gamecube) version of the game, which came in a tin with a few other things. It wouldn't bother me so much if I actually owned a Gamecube.

Eh, I'll go out on a limb for Resident Evil any day.
