Only a few steps he had taken climbing the long spiral staircase, the stairs themselves turned into a long slide. Seeing no way to climb, he chose to reach the bottom of the once-stairs. As he reached the bottom, he noticed the disturbing news: the swarm of ravens were swiftly approaching the spiral slide, and the mysterious old man was long gone. He heard the cries of Suzu from the distance:
"Hey Oskar you alright downthere?!", Suzu shouted, barely muted by the flapping of the raven's wings. Grabbing his sword with his two hands, he adpoted a favorable swinging position. He knew it would do little to a swarm of hungry ravens, due to the relative size of his targets. He expected to take as many as he could until he found a way to deal with them.
"I'm all right down here. At least, so far...the birds are approaching us", he shouted back, as he prepared to deal a blow to the ravens. In short notice, he found out the bridge leading outside was closing, a cloud of ravens flying nearby. As he returned his sight to the incoming swarm, he barely noticed a figure being hunted by the other pack.
"Suzu, I believe there's another...", he shouted, as he lunged towards the hungry swarm...
