Well, it is a spaceship after all, right? But I don't care if it goes into space, I mind if it flies fast on a planetary atmosphere, which clearly all other airships seem to have the upper hand (well, except FF9, until you get the Invincible). Now, since spaceships cannot use their full power on regular flights (to save up on fuel), Ragnarok cannot unleash its full speed.
...though considering how the Ragnarok seems to have a infinite power source, and it is rarely used on outer space, it might be able to use their thrusters with no trouble. Also, noticed how the Ragnaroks' launches were
assisted? They activated their thrusters on mid-air, instead of on land, which requires more power.
P.S. Kenji, guess you didn't used Selphie too much, right? Not only her, but Quistis knew magically how to fly it, and I believe Irvine or Zell knew too. The only non-pilots are Squall and Rinoa.
