Oooo...Seeing this just send down eerie chills dowm my spine...

Though it might work for the best. These games had wonderful stories, the likes of which are rarely seen on new RPGs. That doesn't mean recent RPGs do not have decent storylines: heck, FF7 has a very decent storyline. It's just that times have changed, and storylines have been replaced by other things which show the power of the new systems, such as graphics. I say, if Kitase dares to touch these relics, he and his team better learn a thing or two from the classics. Which means, not repeating the things that have happened with FFX-2 or with the FF7 series, making new stuff appealing to the fan's likeliness of the game to make more money.

I personally do not mind a graphic revamp, though I'll be wary, if this idea becomes reality, of Terra's revamping (that means green hair and not blonde ^_^). And especially wary of voice-acting. As for the actual idea, I wonder: you guys have mentioned about a story-between-the-story of the WoR events, and even a sequel, but rarely about the events before. I'd be more interested in a War of the Magi game than of a sequel or else. And yeah, no abusing with the game, like with FF7.
