"Well thanks to Edward's introduction I'm not sure whether you two care what I say. Alas, I'll follow your orders captain and tell you. Tis not a story for the weak of heart but you two being westerners I'm not sure if you have any." Noah said getting out of his bonds and lying against the wall beside the door. Clearing his throat he began.
"A long time ago I was a soldier for the eastern army. Soon enough though, I became sick of the blood shed and wished escape. King Athean banished me for my deed and I escaped to the west. Thats when I met Wendy......"
Looking up from the ground his eyes seem to light up, renewing a long lost vitality. Soon they dissipate and he seems to mutter under his breath "If only I saved her." Then looks back down.
"...She was an orphan. Her parents killed during a raid. I decided I would raise her. Your gracious king decided that he wanted me to fight for him.....So he kidnapped her and is using her as bait. I guess your king thought this fort would suit me. So that is why I'm her captain. A lowly soldier to do you bidding. I also apologize for Edward's intrusion...I think he thinks that shooting me in the back has earned him some respect. Now I'm sure you and your Lieutenant have much to discuss. So where shall I be staying?
If I may captain I would also like you to send some archers up to the training ground. I noticed it on the way here. With this rain their arrows should be slow enough for me to deflect. I know a mere soldier should not be asking such a request from the captain.
Lastly I would suggest you have the healers take a look at the others, they might catch a cold from the journey through the rain....and there's enough senseless killing on the battlefield."
Noah looks up once again only this time he waits for an answer.
