Okay, okay, so I'm a couple hours late getting the write-ups posted. Pardon me for enjoying my Gamecube.

Here's your round one winner, and no complaints, please.

vertamitlu, and I'll tell you why.

In what was essentially a battle of the introductory posts (which don't matter for beans in this tournament), Trev managed to get a second post in afterward.

1 - vertamitlu: I didn't find your intro to be sadistic at all. You should reconsider your definition of the word. Aside from your amusing little OOC, your first post was well-written, and fun to read through. You were certainly ready for action, and that's a major plus.

2 - Shadow Otenaki: Jay, I'm a little confused. If all of the fighters were invited, why would they need an application? You're mixing up the real-life application process with the fantasy-world I created for you, and that hurt you a bit. There's no "signup desk" in the middle of a field, and there's no locker room with electronic keys, and there's no PA system in the makeshift arena that was created immediately before the start of the tournament. If you'd put yourself up in a hotel near town or something, I could understand that, but this is a field on the edge of town. Your post, though very fitting of the time frame, didn't fit the scene that was set for you.

3 - vertamitlu: You also stray away from the envrionment given to you, but I can understand why. You did well to follow Jay's introductory post, even though it was incorrect. You properly adjusted to his mistakes, and interjected with some witty dialogue. The best part of the entire post, however, was when the action finally began. Unfortunately, that opening attack never saw a response.

Trev, good luck to you in Round Two of the April TOA. You are now permitted one "kill post," which you may use to close out the fight. Remember, you cannot actually kill your opponent without his permission first.
