I must say, you sure do know what you're talking about...LOL
I last played FFI & II: Dawn of Souls, and I cleared Final Fantasy I in 2 days......yes, 2 days. Although I was playing on an emulator, it didn't really matter, cuz you had the opportunity to save ANYWHERE you wanted....(yawn). So I agree with you that FF Dawn of Souls was noobified. What WAS fun, was the fact you could fight the kickass bosses of FFIII (unknown to me
), FFIV, FFV, and FFVI. That was very cool for.....this stupid generation of gamers.....riiiight. That didn't come out right. Anyway, it was fun to kick Rubicant's ass once more, slap Shinryu silly, and patronise Doom Gaze again....
Overall, it was fun, but not worth it. BTW you could find these bosses in the extra dungeons....very boring once in a while, but you could now obtain the Ultima Weapon! Yeeehaw! (the sword, I mean). BUT it's not better then the PSX version, and it kinda makes the original FFI look.....weird, wich is NOT GOOD! FF RULES....even the first one....
