You get Siren in that first batch of Espers and, with her, you now have access to Cure with all your members. Not only that, but if you are patient you can give a few of them Cure2. The Magitek Factory would be near impossible without her help or the presence of a lot of Potions in your inventory...

I believe that was Kirin, not Siren. Siren just had sleep, mute, slow, and fire, Kirin had cure, cure 2, and some other healing spells. Anyway, I voted for Terrato because it provides a +30% to HP and it looks pretty cool. None of the espers in this group really stand out to me all that much than in the other groups.
