SquareEnix launches television series

In SquareEnix's quest to diversify their company (after having been successful with both manga and anime), they have scheduled a television show to begin airing on TV Tokyo on April 6th. Rumors of a related videogame being released were floating around, and have now been confirmed by SquareEnix. Yoko Kumada will host the show, titled Heavy Metal Thunder.

Full details are not yet known, though it seems as if the show will be a sort of variety sketch show.
Feel free to share any information you might learn and discuss this one all you'd like.

When I heard variety show, I started to think of something along the lines of SNL or MadTV, only instead of sketch comedy, it'd be sketch... something. There aren't so many variety shows on the air these days, but I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm talking about.
