((Sorry about my wait as well. Computer problems. Ick. Also, no attack this time. You'll see. It's like a new fight, and you're open to start the attack phase.))

Arkaine's sudden show of agility caught Vincent off-guard. Before he could even turn around, Arkaine had lodged his elbow in Vincent's lower back. Time seemed to slow for an eternity as Vincent slid on the wet ground and began to lose his balance. Arkaine followed through with his shove and stepped aside. Vincent's teetering body couldn't get enough of a grip to settle itself, and he began to fall.

With his lance still in hand, Vincent tumbled down a couple of steps. His arms twisted in the fall, and the large weapon wedged itself between the walls of the psuedo-stairwell. His grip tightened. Slightly disoriented, Vincent stood up and saw Arkaine at the top of the stairs, seemingly disappointed. He attempted to lift his lance, but both the blade and the blunt end had impaled the soft walls. Vincent would need precious time that he didn't have in order to remove the lance, and only one thought came to his mind.

The Illumina.

Vincent grabbed the hilt of the legendary weapon and pulled. The sword effortlessly sliced through the cord which once bound it to Vincent's back. Instead of leaping up toward Arkaine, Vincent diligently bounded down the stairs to the watery floor below. He knew that if he could drag Arkaine down with him, then neither fighter could rely on agility, and a true swordfight would ensue.
