Weapon(s): A large broadsword, Twilight, which is inscribed with many mysterious elven runes. The metal used to forge the blade has a dark blue tint to it. The black leather hilt makes it comfortable to handle. Two golden strings hang down from the butt of the hilt. Also carries a large dagger, Eclipse, as a main gauche. It's made from the same metal as his sword, and it also shares the same black leather hilt. These weapons were given to him as a reward for winning a duel.
Armor: He wears a set of ornamental armor. It's crafted from shadowmetal, which gives it a black, onyx look. Adorning the shadow metal is a series of intricate golden patterns, all leading to an emerald jewel, encrested in the middle of the breastplate. Black leather boots are worn, as they seem best fit for travelling. A green cloak is always worn by Kazanthikus; clasping the cloak together, a golden yellow buckle, resembling the sun when fastened. A plated belt is strapped about his waist, adorned with a few jewels he had grafted into it.
Class: Ranger and protector of Thantholos / Dread Ranger
Powers: Can use elemental magic, although not very proficient. Quite intelligent, has a keen eye; uses surroundings to his advantage. Has a kinship with forest-dwelling animals.

The Story of Kaz, the early years...

Kazanthikus has a mysterious background. He cannot remember anything prior to the age of 32 (7, in human years). He only remembers being raised in the forest by Wood Elf parents, yet he is very different from Wood Elves. His sienna hair and emerald eyes set him apart from the Wood Elves, who have brown hair and blue eyes; some Wood Elves are suspicious of Kaz for this reason, but the village trusts him as a friend and protector. Kaz also wears a necklace of sterling silver. Attached to it is an gold dragon claw clasping an emerald. It's been with Kaz for as long as he could remember, and it is his good luck charm in combat.

He lived in the elven village called Thantholos, secluded in the Great Forest. He was trained as a Elven Ranger, and he specializes in swords. As an occupation, he scouts the Great Forest for potential threats to his village. Well skilled and respected by his comrades-in-arms, he is a great asset to the protection of Thantholos.

Kaz also possesses minimal magic, which he learned from a travelling magi that passed through Thantholos a few years back. The spells he knows are few, but he would only use them in an emergency. Kaz is a firm believer in brute strength and swordskill.

The love interest of Kaz is a young elven maiden, close to him in age. She and Kaz spent many nights together. After a year of being together, she went on a journey with a band of humans that came through Thantholos. They needed a healer, and her healing powers were exceptional among the members of Thantholos. Kaz hasn't heard of her since her departure.

The Story of Kaz, the dark years...

A great evil passed over the lands. Legions of undead and those who had sworn to a dark allegiance conquered all. Dragons, orcs, and mercenaries swept over the land, razing villages, slaughtering townsfolk, and bringing chaos all throughout the lands.

Thantholos was no exception. An army of mercenaries, accompanied with an evil magi weilding great power, passed through the Great Forest, in search for many mystic elven relics. They found Thantholos and attacked. Kazanthikus, being a sworn protector of Thantholos, fought bravely to protect his home. During the battle, the evil magi noted Kazanthikus' skill with his sword, Twilight.

After the head mercenary had fallen to Kazanthikus, he turned toward the evil magi. With a dark incantation and a wave of his hand, the magi spread his sphere of dark influence to the elf. Kaz, not strong enough of mind, could not resist this powerful magi. Under the spell of the evil magi, Kaz turned on his comrades, attacking his friends and townsfolk. With the relics uncovered, the magi, Kaz, and the band of mercenaries travelled towards the next town. The few townsfolk that survived dubbed Kazanthikus the 'Dread Ranger'.
