I really hope it gets a high rating as well, that would be awesome. I would not want to play something that's rated G [Aussie rating] or something because that would be disappointing. FFX was rated M15+ here with medium level animated violence so I would say that this game will be the same. I don't think it would get any lower than that, it wouldn't want to anyway.
XII is rated the same so yeah, I doubt that's going to change. It's not really a children's game, it's more for teenagers and adults. Kingdom Hearts was more for children though in my opinion because I get bored of it too easily. ><
