Yeah, I'm in the same camp as Shadow. Looks like too much work to very little pay out. Seems like an over glorified hack that you see on all of the other FF forums. I have never been one interested in all of the hack items, accessories or anything like that. I come here to post and discuss with the people here. I make myself unique with my avatar and my banner. Everyone on this forum is already unique without this system. We don't need customized jobs and levels to be different.
There is no one on this forum that looks the same to anyone else and that is just from signatures and avatars.
I don't know what Gaia is like, but this does sound way too much like sending us to the dark side. I'm afraid the next thing I will hear is RPG hack. Thankfully the majority of the staff is strongly opposed to that, so that will never happen.
Anyway, I think the forums are fine the way they are right now without any of the changes. Maybe adds some new skins, but I am satisfied with the way things are that I don't want to see it changed. I like TFF Dark skin and have used it for the entire time that I have been here. I doubt that will change unless it becomes unavailable, which I will be quite disappointed by if that happens.
I would have to agree that skins are pretty poor. They are all the same. I like the fact that our skins are different, in header and style. The idea should be that there are different styles, not different colors.
And while you said it was only a rough number, I hope that you change the levels that are based on post count. Because all of the veterans have high post counts. And like me, I would have like lv 500 or something crazy like that.
And so what, we are going to have two jobs now? Or you removing the other titles. People enjoy that system, because the higher you go up the better your job becomes. That way there is a sort of reward for getting higher. People want to reach that Aeon status or Dark Knight.
I am also heavily worried what the postbits on the left is going to turn into. It is already pretty long to begin with. The longer that you make it the longer that you are artificially lengthening everyone's size. Not to mention everything that is going to have to called every time you want to view a thread. And when you have 30 people on a page all calling different things that are not even important to the thread on top of banners and images. The postbits is just going to get way too crowded.
And then people are going to want to fight each other with this. I just know that question will come up.
The Trophy thing seemed interesting and fine. Just a bunch of items. Did not look like it was going to change anything. So I did not really care about it that much. I did not plan on participating in it. But all of this is far more than originally spec'd out.
