Raven darted across the sands toward the two strangers as Alucard swooped down violently from above. Just as Alucard was about to make contact with his opponent, his blade sliced through a fine mist where his target once stood. He stumbled back for a moment in confusion and looked over at Raven, still approaching.
As he slowed down, Raven started to notice his vision getting darker. He held his hands out and looked at them in a bit of a panic. With each step he took, it seemed to grow darker until at last, he was in complete darkness.
Roughly twenty yards away, Alucard had witnessed the event. He stood in confusion as Raven grew darker and transparent until he was completely gone right before his eyes.
The arena fell silent for a moment as Alucard found himself alone. Squinting, he shielded his eyes from the sun with his hand and kneeled down to the sands, scooping up a handful.
"What the hell is going on here?" muttered Alucard.
Darkness.
All that Raven could see was darkness. He dared not to make any sudden moves in this new area without waiting for a moment to make sure it was safe. He could tell that he had been transported to a new area due to the volume and temperature change, though he could not see.
He quietly reached around to his back and slowly slid out his two daggers, holding them in a defensive position. There was a feeling about the room telling him that he was not alone. Much like an animal in the wild might attack it's prey to get a better understanding of what it was up against, Raven knew that he must get a reaction out of what was lurking in the darkness.
He began to move foward, holding his left hand in front of him with his right back in a position for a deadly strike as soon as he felt something against his outstretched arm. His tattered coat quietly skimmed the ground below as he walked sideways, one foot in front of the other.
"Come on.....come on....," Raven thought to himself.
