Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy II was never released in the United States. The second installment of the series, it introduces many of the classic things we have come to expect in a Final Fantasy game. Final Fantasy II has the first appearances of the chocobos, Dragoons, female characters, and proto-moogles (called beavers, real moogles appear in the next installment) It contains staple things such as airships, guys named Cid, and Ultima magic. The game was eventually released to the US via the Playstation, Gameboy Advance (Dawn of Souls), and the Playstation Portable.
Prologue
The Empire of Barmekia is on a mad quest to enslave the world. The only ones who can stand in their way is Queen Hilda of Phin's small Resistance movement. But thrown out of their castle, and with the clock ticking, can anything be done? Four young orphans, Frionel, Maria, Guy, and Lionheart, are the world's last chance for freedom.
Your treacherous journey takes you to all parts of a strange new world. Explore dangerous castles and dark caverns where deadly perils and great rewards await at every turn. Hundreds of ferocious monsters block your back path. With patience, skill, and cunning you can defeat them.
